Howard County Police have adopted the Head Start programs in Ellicott City and at the First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, two of the four Head Start programs run by the Community Action Council of Howard County. Head Start, created by the Community Action Council of Howard County, provides free pre-school to eligible 3- to 5-year-old children.
Starting Monday, February 6th, the Mission BBQ in Ellicott City will donate $2.00 from every Thanks For What You Do Blue Cup to the Howard County Police Foundation, Maryland State Fireman’s Association and Howard Heroes.
It will now be easier than ever to stay in touch with the Howard County Police Department and gain a behind-the-scenes look at what the department is doing in the community. The foundation funded updated photography and videography equipment for the department’s Office on Public Affairs.
The proceeds from the Howard County Bar Association’s Bowling with Badges event were delivered to the Howard County Police Foundation during a brief presentation on December 13.
