Special Project
K-9 Obstacle & Agility Training Course
Help support the replacement
of outdated wood and metal equipment
on the Howard County Police Department's
K-9 Obstacle & Agility Training Course.
The Howard County Police Department’s K-9 Obstacle Training Course was last updated in 2009. Replacement of the old, damaged, and outdated obstacles is necessary to increase the safety and effectiveness of training the dogs. The new equipment will also assist in maintaining the HCPD K-9 teams high level of skill that is required for their annual certifications.
In addition, the obstacle & agility course is used for training by the Howard County Fire & Rescue detection dogs, neighboring Maryland jurisdiction K-9 teams, FEMA K-9 teams, legitimately accredited search and rescue dogs, and other public safety K-9 teams upon request.
