Jan 20172017 Collision Avoidance Training (C.A.T.) Dates
Collision Avoidance Training (C.A.T.) is a defensive driving and vehicle control program for young drivers developed by the National Traffic Safety Academy. During the one-day course adapted from law enforcement training, young drivers learn how to handle their vehicles in any situation. Designed especially for new drivers who want more specialized experience on the road, C.A.T. teaches hands-on techniques for evasive maneuvers, emergency braking, cornering, backing, skid recovery, steering, acceleration and more.

Dec 2016Bowling with Badges Check Presentation
The proceeds from the Howard County Bar Association’s Bowling with Badges event were delivered to the Howard County Police Foundation during a brief presentation on December 13. Bowling with Badges organizer Elizabeth Rosen and bar association President-elect Ryan J. Dymek presented a check for $4,500 to Police Foundation Chair Kyri Jacobs and Police Chief Gary L. Gardner in advance of a police briefing held at the Southern District Police Station.
