Bowling with Badges Check Presentation

Bowling with Badges Check Presentation

The proceeds from the Howard County Bar Association’s Bowling with Badges event were delivered to the Howard County Police Foundation during a brief presentation on December 13.  Bowling with Badges organizer Elizabeth Rosen and bar association President-elect Ryan J. Dymek presented a check for $4,500 to Police Foundation Chair Kyri Jacobs and Police Chief Gary L. Gardner in advance of a police briefing held at the Southern District Police Station.

Chief Gardner noted that since the bar association first created the charity event in 2011, more than $13,000 has been raised to support the non-profit police foundation that funds and promotes programs to improve public safety, and helps the families of injured and fallen officers.  Gardner and Jacobs presented a certificate of appreciation to Rosen in thanks for the bar association’s fundraising support.

This year’s bowling event was held June 3 at Brunswick Columbia Lanes.  The event brought together a diverse group of bowlers, comprised of prosecutors, police officers, lawyers, along with their families, who bowled the night away to raise funds for the police foundation.
